FEGG - G9 - Edmund - Chapter 1

I loved to bake. I thought it was amazing how just sugar, milk and flour could make a cake.

Dad was my role model. He could bake a lot. And not even just bake, he was a great chef too.

The fire alarm went off. It was something who often happened in our house lately.

I picked up the burned muffins from the oven and waited for dad to turn off the fire alarm.
The whole kitchen smelled burned muffin now.
Great.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But just half an hour later, I had made some not-burned muffins.

And dad had made a delicious lime pie.

Honestly, I was jealous of his baking skills.

Me and my sister had opened our own little business. We sold the stuff I baked in my little oven.

My sister was the seller and I was the baker. Even the first days, we got a lot of customers.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But it wasn't long before my sister started high school, and then she didn't want to work with me anymore.

My parents even built her a whole new room. Or maybe I should say house.

But with our amount of money, we couldn't afford more than just a bed in her room.

But me myself, still slept in my parents room.

And I kept running our old little baking business.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Years passed by. At the end, I didn't want to sleep in my parents room anymore, so I moved into Sheila's little house. But we built a wall through the room, for some privacy.

Even though I closed our business, I kept on making food.

But I didn't just bake anymore, I cooked too.

And at last, it was time for prom.

That was even the night, when something else happened.

FEGG - G9 - Edmund - Prologue

Butter, egg, sugar, flour and some other stuff.

 Whisk together...
... and put it in the oven!

Oh crap. Don't tell mom I said "crap"! My muffins were burned.

Hmm... maybe you can eat them anyway...

"Oh, you've baked again!" mom said as she picked up her muffin.

"I can feel a burning smell.." my dad said as he walked into our house.

"Oh shut up." mom said. "Don't make him sad! They're good anyway!"

Dad took a bite and started coughing.

I looked away as I felt my heart sink in my chest.

I walked into the kitchen, and I heard dad's chair scrape against the floor.

 He came up to me.

"It was the most delicious muffin I've ever eaten." he said as he pulled me into a hug.

I smiled big, even though I knew it was a lie. He just didn't want to see me sad, and that was what made me happy. That was what showed how much he loved me, even though he didn't always say it.

My role model.

FEGG - G8 - Cosmo - Chapter 8

The following months, I started to feel sick in the mornings.

I had to go and puke almost every morning.

It was horrible. It was a nightmare.

But at the end, we figured out I was pregnant. And I even borrowed one of Demond's shirts, because we couldn't afford some pregnancy clothes. But it worked just fine.

But we were so happy over soon having a baby. We could sit for hours straight talking about baby stuff.

Demond had a million ideas of baby names.

Eddy, Isac, Corey or Miles if it was a boy.

And Ashley, Jolie, Emily or Shayna if it was a girl.

I didn't really know what I thought about the names. But I sure liked Eddy.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While the months passed and I waited for the baby, I really hadn't anything to do. I couldn't work, and there was nothing to do at home, so I often visited the library.

There could I sit for hours and just surf on the internet and do fun stuff. I also read a lot of romance books there. Now when I hadn't my bookshelf full of romance books with me.

I was also better at cooking now. But the thing I cooked the most, was mac n cheese. It was so easy and cheap.

One night I woke up again, but not because of morning sickness this time.

 It was baby time!
We got a beautiful baby girl. We didn't really know which of those names we should pick, but we wasn't really in a hurry. We decided that we should call her Sheila for awhile. That reminded of Shayna.

But our daughter grew up fast and she was stuck with her nickname Sheila. So we decided that Sheila would be her name.

I loved her with all my heart. She always smiled and shouted: "amm!" when I came into her room.
Even though I already had taught her that she should say "mom", she kept on saying "amm" instead.

It wasn't a long time after Sheila's second birthday, when I had the news that I was pregnant once again.

And even if we could afford pregnancy clothes now, I kept Demond's shirts. I liked them.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nine months later, Edmund was born. I chose his name, because when I saw him, the name Edmund immediately popped up in my head.

And Demond had nothing against that.

Edmund and Sheila became good friends, and I had never seen prettier children in my life.

Edmund also looked a lot like his father. That just made me love him even more.

I'm not saying that I love Edmund more than Sheila, I love them just as much.

And I was so happy over having these two as my children. I just couldn't wait to see how amazing they two would be as grown-ups.

FEGG - G8 - Cosmo - Chapter 7

It had been over a year since we got to this place.

I sat on a bench outside of Björn Café and just watched the stars.

I wondered what my mom did. I never even heard of her since we fled.

Suddenly Demond sat down next to me.
He put his arm around my shoulders. "Hi there, sweetie." he said softly and kissed me on my head.

We sat there for a while.

We had started being a couple since about 8 months back. And I was so happy about it. I finally had my dream come true.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We now had furniture in our house too. Not much yet, we're still paying off loans.

We even had a TV. A really bad one though, but still.

And I had my beautiful boyfriend who I loved more and more for each day. Life was just getting better.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One day when I got home from work, Demond took me to a hot air balloon. He said he had bought a ticket with it, just for a romantic moment for him and me together.

It wasn't very difficult to control either. We steered it to a nearby beach.

It was sunset and we had a very beautiful view over the black beaches and the grey ocean.

"Now I have a surprise for you!" Demond said to me.

"Another one?" I asked, with a grin on my lips.

"Another one." He said as he went down on his knees and picked up a box. "Cosmo. Would you like to marry me?"

I gasped as I stared at the ring, then at him and then at the ring again.

He picked up the ring, who glowed in the sunshine, and said: "Will you?"

"Oh, of course Demond, of course!" I shouted as I jumped into his arms.
He laughed and kissed me on my cheek multiple times.

We stayed there for another couple of hours, just enjoying our time together.
