FEGG - G8 - Cosmo - Chapter 4

Soon I graduated. Nothing had happened in my love life, but well, I still had my books to read.

Demond still worked at our house and we kept on throwing glances at eachothers, whenever no one looked.

My room was the only place we could be together, just for awhile.

I liked him a lot and I hoped with all my heart that he liked me back. He never said anything.

The few times we talked, didn't we talk about feelings or anything, just normal daily stuff.

But one day, when my parents were going to a party on the evening, he actually asked me if I wanted to do something with him.

Of course, I said yes, and after he walked out of my room, a big grin spread in my face and I couldn't do anything but just grinning for the next hour.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We met on the outside, right after my parents drove away.

I wore a black dress and oh god...

I had never seen Demond in anything else except his butler clothes, but now, he hadn't any hair wax in his hair, and he just wore a hoodie. He looked like a normal boy. And god I loved it, he was so cute.

"Woah, you look beautiful!" he said with a grin and I felt my cheeks turned red.

"Thanks.." I said shyly and looked at him with my prettiest smile. "Where are we going?"

"You'll see." he grinned.

He took me to a big log home up in the mountains, with a view over whole Bridgeport.
It even had a big pool and a hot tub.

"Woah.." I said, staring at the house. "I didn't even knew this place exsit..."

He just grinned, and took my hand in his, as he led me inside.

We walked through the house, to the back, where he picked up a bag with slices of salmon.

"I was thinking we could make some supper," he said and I nodded.

While he grilled the salmon, he told me a lot about this house, and that it had been built by his grandfather. He had been here a lot as a kid.

After a few minutes, the supper was ready.

It was delicious. Every single bite.

And while we were eating, we also chatted a lot about stuff we never had been talking about before.

After supper, we relaxed in the hot tub. We didn't say much to eachothers, we just enjoyed the silence and I felt so happy over having Demond so close to me.

Suddenly Demond disappeared into the water, and in the next few seconds, he suddenly popped up next to me with a big splash.

I looked at him. I didn't say anything. I couldn't. My tongue didn't work for the moment. So I just smiled at him, and he grinned back.

He leaned back and closed his eyes, and I kept on looking at him.

I couldn't stop. He was so beautiful. With his brown hair and cute smile.

We sat there, until a woman came and wanted us to leave.
She seemed kind of drunk, so we did as she said.

Then we just, enjoyed our time together, and before it was too late, we drove back home, to let everything be, just as usual.

FEGG - G8 - Cosmo - Chapter 3

I hated my homework. Even when Demond sat in the chair next to me, while I did it, I hated it.

Especially math. I didn't understand when in my life I would need how to calculate a lot of equations. I was never going to be a chemist or stuff like that. The only thing I wanted to do was to read my books.

Actually, I had no idea at all what I wanted to work with as an adult.
And when I knew, I could start go to school.

I could see how Demond glanced at my empty notebook a few times.
It disturbed me.

After about half an hour, with my notebook still empty, I rose from my chair.

Demond also rose from his chair. "Are you already done?"

I glared at him. "No, but I can't do this stupid homework."

"I can help you." he said.

I looked at him. Was he serious? He sat down on the kitchen floor and patted on the floor beside him. "Sit down."

I did as he said and picked up my notebook again.

"Do you really remember how to calculate equations?" I asked him.

He laughed. "Well, it wasn't long ago I did it. I finished school right before I started working here."

"Is that so?" I asked. "Well, then you can do my homework. You know how it should be done."

He just looked at me.

I leaned forward and then, he started to helping me.

We had really fun, and Demond was so smart.

And as the same time he helped me with my homework, we talked about a lot of stuff.

I asked him about how his life had been before he moved here, and he told me a lot.

Even after I finished my homework, I kept hanging around him a lot. I even helped him with cleaning.

I almost started to believe that he liked me. But maybe it just was my wishes.

Until one day when Tom came upstairs while Demond and I was talking.
He glared at us.

And he walked straight up to me.

"WHAT do you two think you're doing?!" he shouted.

I stared at Tom. "What..?"

"You, young girl, should know that you can't keep someone from working! Or else Amanda and I have to fire him!"

"You can't do that!" I yelled.

"Of course we can, he is WORKING here. He isn't here just to flirt with some stupid kid."

Then Tom turned to Demond. "Back to work before you cause anymore trouble."

Demond just nodded slowly. "I'm sorry, sir. It won't happen again."

I stared at Demond as he walked away. "NOTHING HAPPENED!" I shouted. "What are you talking about?!"

Tom glared at me and raised his fist. I squeaked and ran away to my room before he could do anything else.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Demond

I felt so bad for her. This was all my fault.

I knew all the time that I wasn't allowed to socialize with the people I worked for. But I couldn't stop myself. I just wanted to be with her and make her happy. But now I could hear her cry from her bed.

I felt horrible.

And I didn't like her mom and Tom either. They were so mean, and didn't care about her at all.

I had seen Tom hit Cosmo a few times, but the only thing I could do was to close my eyes and look another way.

If I did something else, I would be fired, and I don't think that would help Cosmo either.
What if they hired another butler, who was exactly as her parents then?

The only time I could be with her, without her parents punish her, was when I helped her with her homework.
I loved that time of the day.

And then we could talk a little afterwards. But not for too long.

She was so cute. I wondered if she felt the same for me, as I did for her.
Probably not. She would surely rather be with guys in her own age.

But it didn't hurt anyone that I liked to be with her, did it?

The only thing I actually feared, was the day she graduated school. If I guessed right, she would probably leave this family as fast as possible, and then I would be left with her mean parents.
But maybe it was good. Atleast for her.

FEGG - G8 - Cosmo - Chapter 2

It was prom today. I was very excited. And I don't know how long I brushed my teeth this morning.

It was prom night!
In all my books, it was on prom, all the magic things happened! It was on prom where your crush or that super hot guy in the football team, asked you to a dance. And you said yes, and then you and him became the prom king and queen.

I was so excited. I hoped with all my heart that this night would be amazing.

And I posed in my dress, in front of the mirror. It maybe wasn't the best prom dress ever, but I loved it.

 "You look beautiful sweetie."
I turned around and saw our butler, Greta, coming up to me.

"Oh, thank you." I said and gave her a hug. She should quit her work as our butler, so this was the last time I saw her. "I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too, sweetie." she said and patted my hair.

She had been the only one that had cared about me the last five years.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, I had a great prom night. I hang around with my best friends, and I even danced with one of the guys in my chemistry class. But I never got a dance with one of the guys in the football team, and I didn't become the prom queen.
I was disappointed, but I was satisfied anyway.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One thing I was happy about, was our new butler. Demond.
I got a crush on him since the first day I saw him sitting and reading in our armchair. One of the reasons was, that he read one of my books.

"Do you like that book?" I asked, and saw it was Special Snowflake.

He looked at me. "Yeah. I do. Are you Miss Bookworm?"

I nodded and grinned. "And you're our new butler!"

He smiled at me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was glad that Demond lived in our house. I figured that he wasn't that much older than me. I was 16 and he was 20 and had just started working.

I was surprised over that such a young boy could have a work as a butler. Especially when it lived a teenager in the house, four years younger than him.

Maybe this was my destiny.

I could see everything in my mind of how it was supposed to be. It was like a beautiful love story. But he wasn't allowed to date his customers, or what I should call me and my family.

It was forbidden love. Like Jack and Rose from Titanic, or Romeo and Juliet. Or maybe even Edward and Bella from Twilight.
I was so excited to see what would happen between me and Demond.

I spend all days reading. I was shy around Demond, and whenever he walked into my room, for checking if there was anything he had to do, my heart always raced in my chest, and I couldn't sit still on my spot in the couch, bed or my sacco bags.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was mom and Tom's wedding. They were getting married. A lot of people were at our house, and I wore my prom dress. It was my favourite one, and I wanted Demond to see how beautiful I was in it.

I didn't knew any other people.

I sat down on a chair and just looked around. I had no one to talk to.

Then it was time for the ceremony. Mom and Tom said a lot of stuff to eachothers, and then it was time to exchange rings.

Demond sat down next to me and he seemed really happy.
I played along and pretended to be happy for mom's sake too. In reality, I wasn't at all. I didn't care about the wedding, I just didn't want Demond to realise that.

Some guys even started to cry. I didn't know why, but it felt kinda weird that they did.

Beautiful music came from the guys, from mom's work, playing harp and piano.

 And mom and Tom kissed.

Everyone cheered and throwed rice, but I just felt disgusted.

I spent the rest of the night on the dance floor.

And later that night, the phone rang. Almost all guests were on their way home, and mom and Tom were somewhere, so I answered.

"Hello?" I said, wondering who would call 4AM.

"Hi there, is Tom Wordy at home?" a woman's voice asked.

I never corrected her, instead I said: "He's outside, is it something important, or can I tell him what it is?"

The woman told me that his best friend, Big Hartley, died this night.

My eyes wided. "I'll tell him. Thank you and goodnight." I said.

But I wouldn't tell him tonight. I knew if I ruined this night, either he or mom would never, ever forgive me.
