FEGG - G8 - Cosmo - Chapter 6

We drove until it was sunrise. And even after that.

I slept in the car, and I have no idea how Demond could drive that long. He didn't even look tired, when we finally came to a little town. Or atleast I think he drove all the time, but maybe he stopped somewhere, without me noticing.

We drove to the nearest cafe for some breakfast.

The whole place was empty. It wasn't even anyone at the desk, but on a sign, we could read "FREE COFFEE" so we each took a cup.

"Having any clue where we are?" I asked and yawned.

Demond shrugged. "I have no idea, I didn't even see a sign or anything, when we came to this place. Or I may have missed it..."

Suddenly a woman came out from the backdoor and walked past our table.

I jumped up from my chair as fast as I could.

"Hi, excuse me!" I said, with a smile, and held out my hand.

The woman took it and shook it. "Hi there."

"Do you know where me and my friend here are?" I asked. "We've been driving the whole night and neither of us saw a sign or anything about what place we've come to."

"The whole NIGHT?" the woman exclaimed. "Where are you guys coming from? And oh, right. You're in Aurora Skies. How could it be that you drove the whole night, without knowing where to go?!"

"Eh, it's a long story." I smiled. "We're from Bridgeport. Is it far from here? I've never even heard of Aurora Skies before. I think..."

"BRIDGEPORT?" the woman's eyes wided. "That's miles away!"

"Is that so..?" I said with a little laugh. "Well, do you know any place we could get some... help around here? Or anything?"

"Of course! Just drive to the town hall. It's in the center of the town."

"Oh okay, and thank you very, very much!" I said with a big smile on my lips. "I really appreciate it!"

She laughed friendly. "That's nothing! You're very welcome, dear! And I hope I'll see you soon again."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We did as the woman, who I never found out the name of, said, and drove to the town hall.

It was really easy to find, since the building was very big and as the woman said, in the centre of the town.

To my surprise, they were really friendly, and with the small amount of money we had, we could even get a big house!
Even though we had to take out a big loan.

And the house had no furnitures. Only some stuff in the kitchen, a toilet, shower and a bed.

But we had our green, expensive car, who Demond though we should sell, but I didn't want to, since it was my only thing I had brought with me from Bridgeport.

But I was happy anyway. I had Demond...

 ... and he had me.
That was everything we needed for the moment.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As I thought, Demond had stopped somewhere, on our way to nowhere, to sleep. But that was just for one hour or two, so now, when we had a bed upstairs, he took his chance to sleep for a few more hours.

Meanwhile, I decided to make something to eat. Just to try out our oven.

But I hadn't cooked since high school, so when I opened the oven door, black smoke poured out and I started coughing.

I picked out the burnt food and put it, with a sigh, on the worktop.

"What are you doing?"

I turned around and saw Demond in the doorway. "I was thinking about making a you surprise.." I mumbled.

"A surprise it was." Demond said. "I could smell the burnt food upstairs. I almost thought you was buring the house down."

"I'm sorry.. If I woke you up.." I said.

He laughed and pulled me into a hug. "I can make some food, I'm not even tired anymore."

And so he did.

 And those...

 Cooking skills...

I almost got jealous, but I was glad to have such a great chef in the house.

Even though I couldn't cook as good as Demond, I felt so happy.

Happier than I'd been in my whole life.

When I lay there, next to Demond, there's no word to describe how happy I was.

All of my romance books was left in my old room in Bridgeport, but this was way better than my books.
It was way better than I could ever imagine.

FEGG - G8 - Cosmo - Chapter 5

We still hung out, Demond and I. Even though we had to be sneaky.

Some nights, he even came into my room and we could lay for hours and just chatting.

Today he even asked me out again. My parents were going away for a few hours.

We took my green car, and drove to The Prosper Room.

There were guards, but Demond talked to the guard and just a minute later, he let us go in.

We ordered supper and ate on the balcony.

It was really nice and we could even see our house from there!

It was almost midnight when we sat in the hot tub. This time, we didn't just stare at eachothers, Demond actually laid his hand around my shoulder and I leaned closer to him.

At least a while, until Demond started splashing around in the water.
Then I switched side.

"I was thinking.." Demond said after a few minutes. "We can never be together as long as you live at your mother..."

I looked at Demond. "I know.." I said. "But she'll never give me enough money so I can afford to buy my own house."

"That's weird. I thought she didn't want you in the house..."

I rolled my eyes. "She don't want me in the house, but she don't want to give me money either. Only reason why I have clothes, is because of my father. He gives me an amount of money each month."

"Is that so?" Demond looked at me surprised. "I thought you hadn't met your father since you and your mom moved."

"I haven't. He's sending me the money. I don't even know where he lives, because he isn't in our old house. I've checked that."

Demond nodded slowly as I changed back to the spot next to him.

"I'll just wait and see. If mom is going to be worse to me, I'm going to move."

"Worse?" Demond snorted. "Like that is even possible."

I smiled sadly. "Maybe it is.."

Amanda

It was so quiet in our house. I hadn't seen neither Cosmo or our butler, since before Tom and I left our home earlier this evening.

Now we both sat at the kitchen table, eating some cake.

"Do you know where my kid is? And our butler?" I asked Tom.

He looked at me. "No... I haven't seen neither of them since before we left. You don't think they're out together, do you?"

"I'm afraid of that." I said. "But I don't think Cosmo would be so stupid. Neither would Demond, for that matter."

"But who knows," I continued. "Maybe I'm wrong. If they're getting home at the same time, we know if they've been out together, right?"

"What if he's only driving her to some place?" Tom said.

"We've seen them both together before! You don't seem that suspicious! I think you should be suspicious!"

"I'm just saying that we need more proof."

"Let's do like this, we're waiting for them at the door. If we're seeing anything suspiciously, we're going to teach them both a lesson." I said and Tom nodded.

Cosmo

We were holding hands while walking into our house.

That was maybe the worst thing I had ever done. Or maybe the best. How you now should look at it.

Because, mom and Tom were waiting at the door.

The first thing mom did was to start yelling and shouting at me. I did nothing but just stand there.

I didn't really listen, but she shouted something about kicking Demond out of the house.

I could hear Tom yell at Demond on the outside, when mom slapped me in the face. I wasn't ready for that.

I should've been used to being hitted now and again, but this time, I fell apart.

I just turned around and rushed through the door, and right into Demond's arms, where I started sobbing.
He patted me on my back and comforted me, while we walked to the garage.

I saw neither mom or Tom, while Demond drove away from my home. I didn't knew where he took me, but I didn't care either. As long as I got away from Bridgeport.

And now when I had my boyfriend from my dreams, everything was perfect, as long as I was with him.
