FEGG - G7 - Amanda - Chapter 9

 About a week later, when I just was about to drive to work, Alex called.

"What's up?" I asked.

 "You never told me you play guitar!" he said.

"Erh... no... why..?"

 "Meet me at Waylon's Haunt and I'll show you why!" he said.

I raised my eyebrows. "Sure I would like to.. but I have to go to my work..."

"Then meet me afterwards!"

 And I did as he said. I arrived at Waylon's Haunt about 5PM.

It was totally empty. The only one there was the bartender.

I picked up my phone and texted Alex. I'M AT WAYLON'S NOW. WHERE ARE YOU?

 While waiting for an answer, I sat down at the bar.

"Is it always this empty here?" I asked the bartender.

 "No.." he said. "But you're a bit too early if you want to meet people. The most of them are either sleeping or working."

I nodded. "Yeah... I didn't think about that.."

 I sat there for like one hour without an answer from Alex.

"I'll stay here for 30 minutes, then I'll go home." I said to myself.

 Then finally, about 10 minutes later, a blonde guy walked in.

 "Woah, you look handsome!" I said and looked at his shirt and tie. "What's the suit up about?"

He just grinned at me.

 "What were you going to show me?" I asked.

"You'll see."

 He walked up to the bass and started playing it.

 I came after him and just stood there listening.

He was really, really good. I don't know if I ever had heard someone play bass like that in real life before.

 When the song came to an end and he put down the bass, I walked up to him and with a big smile in my face, I gave him a hug.

"I didn't knew you could play any instrument!" I said. 

"I didn't knew you played guitar!" he answered. "Now we can start a band and be famous all over the world! What do you think about that?"

 "I love that idea!" I smiled.

 "Are you Amanda? Amanda Bookworm?"

I turned around and saw a guy with a camera, taking photos of me and Alex. "Yeah... Why...?"

"Oh my god, is that your boyfriend? Are you dating? Let me know everything, the magazines are going to love this!" he kept on taking photos.

 "Yeah.. we are dating.." I said and pulled Alex against me and gave him a kiss.

 Alex moved in with me, and that was like the best thing that had happened in my whole life.

Day after day, we came up with new songs and we planned our band. This was really a dream coming true and it all felt amazing!

But still we couldn't come up with a good name, so we just called us The Silhouettes.

But the best part with having a boyfriend, was that I would never have to sleep alone. 

I felt safe with him next to me.
