I was done with my first book. "The Pink Pig". And after that, I started with a new one. They even gave out "The Pink Pig" in the bookstore!
"What are you writing?"
I turned around in my chair and saw a man at the computer behind me.
"A book." I respond, as I shut the computer off.
"A book?" the man said. "Are you a writer?"
"Nah, not really..." I said. "I wouldn't give me the title 'writer'... I just write for fun."
"What's the name of your book?" he asked.
"Oh, the one I'm working on, or the one that's already done?"
I chatted for a long time with that man. His name was Jaycen, and I told him about my books. He'd of course never heard of "The Pink Pig" before, since it was a children's book, but he told me he would check it out.
The following weeks I just kept writing.
I'd even got an email from Jaycen, saying that he'd read my book, and that he thought it was fun. That inspired me to continue with my new book.
So I wrote everyday. Only breaks I took was for food or sleep.
And that one time the computer broke, so I had to go search for the people working at the library.
That one time, I passed by the most sweetest guy ever.
"Do you know where the caretaker at this place are?" I asked him.
"Caretaker?" he said. "Have you broke something?"
I blushed. "Ki.. kind of.. I was writing on my book, and the computer just shut off, and I can't get it start."
"You're a writer?" he said. "I thought I recognized you. You've written "The Pink Pig", right?"
My eyes wided. "How do you know that?" I said.
"I've been babysitting my sisters son" he said. "He love that book. And so do I, it's sweet."
I didn't know what to say, so I just smiled and nodded. I hoped that he didn't think I was impolite.
"How did you know I wrote that book..?" I asked after a few seconds. "There weren't any picture of me or anything..."
"I may have walked pass you a few times when you've been writing on your latest book, and I saw on your screen that your name was Spencer... so I just guessed."
"And you've never tried to talk to me earlier?" I said.
"I thought I would interrupt you." he said with a shy smile.
"You know what?" I changed the subject. "I'm hungry, I feel like I could eat an elephant. Would you like to come along and eat some lunch? So we can keep talking then."
"Yeah, why not?" he smiled.
"Wonderful!" I said.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We didn't talk that much, because the first thing I did was to choke. I coughed and coughed until my face was all red.
"How's it going?" he said, Nemo was his name.
I smiled, blushing. "I'm... okay.."
But suddenly Nemo also started coughing.
"You're almost as good as me at eating." I said with a grin.
"Karma!" Nemo squawked. "Not fair!"
"You think so?" I felt my grin getting wider. "Never underrestimate the power of karma!"
Nemo just kept coughing.
