Except to play with Lovis, I'm often walking around in funny costumes.
Once I even scared our repairman.
But of course I got a scolding from my mother.
I also went to school. Not that I had so many friends there, I often was all by myself. Dying to get home to play with Lovis.
I had a bunk bed too! And I loved that bed!
I loved to lie there and just look out over the room. It was so cozy up there too.

One day, a saturday, something happened.
The day started with that I couldn't find Lovis anywhere. Around 2 PM that day, I saw a glow beside my bed. It was Lovis! She had been in human shape!
I couldn't believe what I saw. Maybe my mother was right, those fantasy books maybe weren't good for me.
But then, Lovis walked up to me.
"Hi there Sora!" she said.
"Lovis... Is that... you? Are you real?" I asked uncertain.
Lovis laughed a tinkling laugh. "It's me, Sora! I promise!"
"Oh my..." I said and poked Lovis on her belly, just to see if she really was real.
She laughed again and pulled me into a hug. "Silly Sora!" she said.
"I can't... I can't believe it!" I said. "It's like a dream coming true for me! Now you can go to school with me so I don't have to be alone anymore!"
Lovis eyes became sad. "I can't do that Sora. I'm sorry, but none other than you can see me..."
"Oh..." I said. "But... Well, then I'll have something to see forward to when I get home everyday!" I said and smiled. Lovis smiled back at me.
My mother sat in the couch so I sat down in the armchair.
"Mom, I want to tell you something!" I said. "You know Lovis?"
"Your doll?" said mom.
"Yes, she has become alive!" I said.
She looked around. "I can't see your doll..."
"No, I know," I said. "She's invisible for you, mom. But maybe I can find a way to make her visible for you too!"
My mother just looked at me with sad eyes. "Oh Sora..." she said.
Everything I wished for when I went to sleep that night, was that Lovis wasn't a dream. Please, oh please, I wanted her to be real the next day too!
