FEGG - G5 - Cece - Chapter 2

 I woke up 6AM just to find my dad in front of the TV.

 He was just zapping through the channels.

"Dad?" I said. "Want some breakfast?"

 He didn't answer me, he just turned off the TV and came to the table.

 "Where's mom?" I asked after a few minutes of silence. I was afraid of the answer.

"Sleeping.."

"Didn't you tell her?"

"I couldn't.."

 I rose up from my chair and hugged my dad.

"You have to. Before my stupid brother tells her."

Dad hugged me back. "I promise I will." he said.

But I was still afraid he wouldn't.

 The kids got to school. Thank godness that my youngest started school today and not tomorrow.

I lay in bed, waiting for her to wake up.

 Then finally she did.

 "Hi honey!" she said. "Why are you lying here? Missed me again?" she winked playful to me.

 "Ehrm, no..." I began. "I have something really big to tell you..."

 I took a deep breath.

 "What is it?" she asked and put her hand on my arm. "You can tell me anything, you know."

 "I cheated on you, Sapphire."

 She removed her hand and just stood there, staring at me. I could see a million feelings in her eyes. Surprise, anger, sadness, confusion. Even love. Love who now was falling apart, broken into pieces.

Thanks to me.

 "WHAT did you say?!" she screamed, after a few minutes of complete silence.

"I'm sorry..."

 She went around me, and turned her back to me. But I grabbed her shoulder and turned her around again.

 "DON'T lay your disgusting fingers on me!" she said.

 "Sapphire, look, I'm sorry. I can say it a million times, and for each time you should know I really mean it!"

 "You MEAN it, eh? How can I trust you?!"

 I leaned forward and gave her a soft kiss on her lips.

That must have been the second most stupid thing I've ever done...

 "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" she shouted and jumped backwards, away from me.

 "DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN JUST CHEAT ON ME?! AND THEN KISS ME AGAIN, TO MAKE EVERYTHING PERFECT?!" she shouted.

 "I-I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean..."

 "Didn't mean WHAT? You DID mean to cheat on me, didn't you?! It's not like you've been raped or something?! Cause you SAID that you cheated on me!!"

 "Yes, I cheated on you, and I admit I have no good excuse for why I did that, but I regret that with all my heart!" I said, trying to keep my voice calm and trustworthy. "I just wish that we could go back to normal again, Sapphire! Think about the children!"

 "HEART?! You have no heart!"

Then she lifted her hand and gave me a big slap in the face.

I saw stars for a moment.

 "You can't just HIT me!!" I was shouting now. My plan to keep my voice calm failed.

 "WELL I JUST DID!"

 I don't really know who started the fight then, but suddenly we were just hitting eachother and screaming and yelling and dust were flying everywhere.

 We stopped to breath a few seconds.

"Now it's YOU who are hitting ME!" Sapphire shouted.

"I'm SORRY but it was you who began!"

 "Are you STUPID or something?!" Sapphire shouted.

"Something."

"If you hadn't been cheating on me since the beginning, NOTHING of this would have happened! It's ALL YOUR FAULT. It's your fault that this family is shattered into pieces now! Your children just lost their mother!"

 And with those words, she passed me.

I heard her go into the bathroom to change clothes, and then the front door held with a bang. When I looked out the window, I could see her car drive off.
